“My Brother Is Getting Married and I’m Sitting in Karachi, Wow!”: Aseefa Bhutto Reacts to Bilawal’s Marriage Rumors

ISLAMABAD: Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, sister of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has given a humorous response to reports circulating on social media about her brother’s marriage.

Replying to Bilawal’s post on X, Aseefa wrote, “My brother is getting married and I’m sitting in Karachi, wow!” She also added a laughing emoji to her response.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari later denied the marriage rumors in a video message posted on X. He said social media had already “confirmed” his engagement and marriage and clarified that nothing of the sort had happened.

Bilawal also said he did not know anyone named “Princess Gloria,” whose name had reportedly been linked to the rumors. He described such social media speculation as an attempt to divert public attention from real issues.

Referring to a recent tragedy in Islamabad, Bilawal said that 14 children had died at PIMS, while political and administrative issues were also being debated in the country.

He criticized what he described as efforts to divide Pakistan into more provinces, saying that such decisions could not be imposed through street politics or business forums.

Bilawal said the Sindh Assembly had already taken a clear position that discussions about dividing provinces could neither be held on the streets nor at a business forum in Lahore. He added that the matter would be discussed and decided in the Sindh Assembly, which was among the first assemblies to become part of Pakistan.

Bilawal further stated that if any major decision regarding his personal life was made, it would be officially announced by his family. He urged people to focus on real issues and ignore what he described as social media “spectacles.”
