Balochistan CM Chairs Third Board Meeting of Balochistan Aviation Company

QUETTA: The third meeting of the Board of Directors of the Balochistan Aviation Company was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakil Qadir Khan, Director Aviation Captain Ali Azad and other members of the Board of Directors attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed various matters concerning the company’s operations, performance and future strategy. Participants discussed ways to promote air connectivity across the province, utilize opportunities available in the aviation sector and provide better travel facilities to the people of Balochistan.

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said the promotion of air connectivity was vital for the province’s economic and social development.

He said that given Balochistan’s vast area and remote regions, improved air links would not only facilitate travel for citizens but also contribute to trade, investment, tourism and broader economic activity.

The chief minister emphasized the need for professional management, transparency and effective planning in the affairs of the Balochistan Aviation Company. He said the organization should be aligned with modern requirements and play an active role in the broader interest of the province.

Bugti said the Balochistan government was taking modern and effective measures across various sectors to improve public services and promote economic activity. He added that the aviation sector was an important component of this vision and that strengthening institutional capacity was essential for its effective development.

The meeting also discussed measures to further improve the company’s performance, ensure efficient utilization of available resources and develop future projects.

The chief minister directed the relevant authorities to run the company on professional lines and prioritize feasible proposals and planning aimed at improving air connectivity across Balochistan.

Members of the Board of Directors also presented their recommendations on various matters concerning the company. The meeting expressed a commitment to ensuring effective implementation of the decisions taken.
