Yo Yo Honey Singh Denies Rumors of Shah Rukh Khan Slapping Him in New Documentary

Mumbai:In a recently released documentary, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh addressed the widely circulated rumor that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan slapped him during a visit to the United States, causing injuries that required stitches. So, is there any truth to this claim?

Honey Singh clarified the situation, recalling his time working with Shah Rukh Khan on the blockbuster song *”Lungi Dance”* for the film *Chennai Express*. He revealed that Shah Rukh had invited him to join his tour, despite Singh already being overwhelmed with work commitments at the time. However, he eventually agreed to go along.

During the tour, Singh shared that there was a specific evening when he was in no condition to perform but was being urged to do so. “When they took me to Chicago for the show, I said, ‘I don’t want to perform.’ I was absolutely sure that I would collapse during the performance,” he explained. Despite his reluctance, everyone insisted he get ready, but Singh refused.

In an attempt to avoid performing, he shaved his head, thinking that it would excuse him from the show. However, when this did not work, he resorted to a more dramatic measure: “I grabbed a coffee mug and smashed it on my head.”

Honey Singh clarified that the injury and stitches on his head were not the result of a slap from Shah Rukh Khan, but rather his own actions. He emphasized, “Someone started the rumor that Shah Rukh Khan slapped me. That man loves me; he would never raise his hand against me.”

The documentary, *Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous*, features various stages of the rapper’s life and offers an intimate look into his career. According to Singh’s sister, after the incident, it was decided that he should immediately return to India.

The documentary is now available for streaming on Netflix, providing further insights into Honey Singh’s personal and professional journey.
