Islamabad:Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun has announced the commencement of a next-generation smart phone factory in Beijing, touted as the “Dark Factory” for its highly automated facilities.
This factory operates round the clock without human intervention, enabled by state-of-the-art machinery, ensuring 24-hour production capabilities. It maintains rigorous standards to safeguard sensitive components of smart phones from dust, thereby ensuring a clean environment.
Manufacturing Xiaomi’s domestically produced smart machines, this facility is equipped with continuous quality control capabilities, highlighting Xiaomi’s commitment to technological excellence.
This landmark project represents a significant investment for Xiaomi, with costs estimated at 2.4 billion yuan. The factory has an annual production capacity of 10 million flagship smart phones, gearing up for the production of Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 and Xiaomi MIX Flip Foldable Phones.
