Trump Thanks Pakistan for Arresting Kabul Blast Suspect: Social Media Reacts

Washington, USA:Former U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed his gratitude towards Pakistan for helping capture the suspect responsible for killing U.S. soldiers in a blast during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. The video of Trump thanking Pakistan is now going viral on social media, sparking a range of reactions from users.

One social media user, Haider Naqvi, wrote, *”This is what happens when Allah chooses to give honor. PTI was running a campaign against General Asim Munir, claiming sanctions should be imposed on him, but in the same Congress where they were plotting to bring sanctions, Pakistan’s government and army were being applauded and thanked.”* He further addressed PTI supporters, saying, *”Read the writing on the wall and stop conspiring against Pakistan. You people keep falling into the trap but still, you don’t learn.”*

Ashfaq Hassan commented, *”What did we expect from Trump, and what did he do?”*

Arman Khokhar wrote, *”Where are those people who said Trump’s arrival would break jail locks and end the ‘selected’ government? This is the same Trump who is now praising the Pakistani government under Shahbaz Sharif.”*

Fawad Rahman pointed out, *”President Trump thanked Pakistan in his first joint address, which is devastating news for PTI and Imran Khan. The millions of dollars collected for Imran Khan’s release have gone to waste.”*

Anwar Danish, sharing Trump’s video, commented, *”International relations between countries are formed at the state level. You spent millions of dollars and hired multiple lobbying companies, but all you got were a few tweets. States work based on mutual interests, and from jail, you have nothing to offer but unfulfilled promises.”*

Sadia Khalid, another social media user, remarked, *”Trump thanking the Pakistani government is a huge message for Imran Khan.”*

One user pointed out, *”Trump has shattered Imran Khan’s dreams. PTI’s investments in American Senators and lobbying efforts have been wasted.”*

In August 2021, during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, a bomb blast at a busy gate of Kabul airport killed over 150 people, including 13 U.S. soldiers.
