Train Service Suspended in Quetta for 11 Days Following Attack on Jaffer Express

QUETTA: Train services from Quetta to the rest of the country have been suspended for the past 11 days, causing significant inconvenience to passengers traveling within Pakistan. The suspension came after an attack on the Jaffer Express on March 11 in the Kachhi district.
According to railway authorities, the train service was halted immediately following the attack to ensure the safety of passengers and staff. The disruption has left many travelers stranded, facing difficulties in finding alternative transportation.
Regarding the potential restoration of the train service, railway officials have stated that it will only be resumed once security clearance is granted. They emphasized that the safety of passengers is the top priority, and the service will be reinstated only when it is deemed secure.
