Sindh Government to Complete Construction of 40 People’s Bus Service Stops in Two Months

Karachi: The Sindh government has decided to complete the construction of 40 additional bus stops for the People’s Bus Service within the next two months.
Senior Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, addressing a meeting, stated that the construction of 100 bus stops for the People’s Bus Service had already been completed, and the remaining stops would be finished as soon as possible. He confirmed that the work on the remaining 40 bus stops would be completed by January 2025.
Memon emphasized that the Sindh government aims to modernize the transportation system and align it with international standards. He added that the new bus stops would be of significant importance, offering comfortable seating and protection from the weather for passengers.
In the meeting, it was also decided that mandatory vehicle fitness checks would be implemented across the province. Memon stressed that ensuring the fitness of vehicles is crucial for road safety and environmental protection. He directed the Secretary of Transport to take strict actions to ensure the enforcement of vehicle fitness checks.
He also mentioned that annual mandatory vehicle fitness checks would be enforced, and strict action would be taken against vehicle owners who fail to comply with the fitness regulations.
