Severe Cold Weather Continues Across Pakistan, Snowfall in Skardu and Other Areas

Islamabad:The cold weather persists in various parts of the country, with **Skardu** experiencing continuous snowfall since yesterday. The temperature in **Skardu** has dropped to **minus 13°C**, making it the coldest place in the country. Due to the heavy snowfall, the **upper areas of Astore** have been cut off from the rest of the region by land routes.

Meanwhile, in **Azad Kashmir**, the **Neelum Valley** continues to attract tourists despite the ongoing snowfall. The valley remains a popular destination for winter tourism. On the other hand, the **northern districts of Balochistan** are also experiencing severe cold weather, with temperatures in **Quetta** and **Ziarat** dropping to **minus 6°C**, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

In contrast, **Punjab** is experiencing dense fog across many areas, which has affected visibility and daily activities. The fog continues to cause disruptions, especially in the early morning and evening hours.

The ongoing cold wave and heavy snowfall have caused challenges in several regions, while also making popular tourist destinations more attractive to visitors seeking winter experiences.
