Severe Heatwave Hits Balochistan: Temperature Reaches 46°C in Subi

Quetta: Balochistan is experiencing an intense heatwave, with temperatures soaring to 46°C in Subi, as the sun reached its peak during the midday hours. According to the Meteorological Department, most areas of the province are expected to remain hot and dry in the coming days.
In the provincial capital, Quetta, the maximum temperature reached 35°C, while in Kalat, it recorded 30°C. Other areas of the province also saw significant temperature spikes, with Ziarat reaching 25°C, Zhob at 35°C, Sibi at a scorching 46°C, Turbat at 43°C, Nokundi at 43°C, and Chaman at 36°C. Coastal cities such as Gwadar and Jiwani experienced a maximum temperature of 35°C.
Meteorological experts have predicted that areas like Zhob, Musakhel, Barkhan, and surrounding regions may experience gusty winds, accompanied by thunderstorms and scattered rainfall in certain locations. The extreme heat has raised concerns regarding water shortages and potential health hazards, particularly for vulnerable populations. Authorities have urged residents to take necessary precautions during the ongoing heatwave.
