Sardar Akhtar Mengal Condemns Brutal Police Action, Calls Out Government’s Role in Exploiting Conflict

Quetta:Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader, Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, strongly condemned the brutal police shelling on peaceful protesters, which led to the martyrdom of five Baloch youths, and the subsequent assault on the sit-in during Sehri time. He also criticized the arrest of women and young activists, including Maah Rang Baloch, in the harshest terms.
In his statement, Sardar Mengal stated that the current rulers are not representatives of the public, but rather government-appointed figures who benefit from bloodshed and unrest. He added that these rulers have shown complete disregard for the sanctity of Baloch society, surpassing the injustices of the past. The ongoing conflict and crisis have only served to elevate those who are now in positions of power, such as the Chief Minister, MNAs, MPAs, and Senators, who owe their rise to the unrest in the region. He emphasized that their political worth is so insignificant that they could barely make it to local council elections, and they have no real standing in the public.
Sardar Mengal criticized the “Form 47” rulers, stating that they were not elected representatives of the people, but were instead imposed on Balochistan through so-called elections. He mentioned that in the past, Balochistan had endured four military operations, and the fifth operation is currently underway. The security forces are violating Baloch traditions with cruelty, and the inhumane treatment of Baloch mothers, sisters, and daughters will be remembered as a stain on history.
He expressed his condolences and solidarity with the families of the martyrs and stated that the BNP holds the sacrifices of Baloch youth in high regard. He further stated that the recent events will be remembered as a dark day in the history of the Baloch nation.
Sardar Mengal warned that the current rulers, who are representatives of the government and not the people, will eventually face the wrath of the Baloch public. On that day, their own misdeeds will come back to haunt them, and they will be held accountable for their actions.
