Islamabad:Rana Sanaullah, the Political Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, stated in an interview with a private television channel that if the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) desire to form a government together, they can do so, including through the application of Article 6 against Imran Khan.
Speaking on the current political scenario, Sanaullah emphasized that their party holds a majority in the assembly and is therefore striving to improve the country’s situation. He acknowledged the failures of political parties in current conditions but also highlighted ongoing collaboration with certain institutions.
Addressing potential talks with PTI, Tanveerullah expressed readiness while noting that negotiations must adhere to specific conditions. He clarified that recent court rulings would not affect the government significantly, stressing that an adverse judgment in any case does not imply guilt.
Responding to a query about Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s intentions to form a political party, Sanaullah suggested it would not affect the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Reflecting on historical parallels, Sanaullah noted similarities between the current situation and governance issues of a decade ago.
