Quetta: The Safe City Project has been formally inaugurated in Quetta, deploying 800 state-of-the-art cameras across the city to enhance surveillance against terrorism and criminal activities. Monitoring operations have commenced as part of efforts to tighten security and control within Quetta.
According to the Safe City Project Operations Officer, SP Adil Akbar, an additional 600 cameras will soon be installed. Control rooms have been established to monitor the cameras installed on entry and exit points throughout the city. Vigilance will also be maintained over duty-bound personnel of the Safe City Project to ensure optimal performance.
SP Adil Akbar has urged citizens to cooperate by reporting any information or criminal activities in their areas to the Safe City Project helpline at 1788 for prompt action.
