Islamabad: Zulfi Bukhari, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has claimed that their international media coordinator, Ahmed Janjua, was abducted early this morning.
Bukhari stated that in addition to Janjua, three social media workers affiliated with PTI have also been reportedly abducted recently. He attributed these incidents to a crackdown on PTI’s social media accounts over the past two weeks, following intense global reporting on human rights abuses in the country.
“We urge the current authorities to recognize that such violations of basic human rights cannot go unchecked,” Bukhari asserted.
Earlier, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar had alleged that Mian Jatoi, a member of the National Assembly from Muzaffargarh, had also been abducted.
