Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Leader Expresses Concern Over Kidnapping of Schoolboy, Calls for Accountability

Quetta:Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, along with a delegation, visited the home of the kidnapped student, Masoor Kakr, who was abducted 80 days ago in broad daylight from his school van. The delegation included Jamaat-e-Islami Quetta Amir Abdul Naeem Rand, General Secretary Ejaz Mahboob, Maulana Abdul Hamid Mansoori, Jameel Ahmad Meshwani, and other officials.

During the visit, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch met with Masoor Kakr’s family members, including Haji Malang Kakr and Rahmatullah Kakr, to express solidarity and discuss the ongoing issue of the student’s abduction. He expressed deep concern over the continued disappearance of Masoor Kakr, despite the presence of thousands of cameras in Quetta’s Safe City project and repeated assurances from the government, security forces, and other authorities.

Maulana Baloch criticized the inefficiency of the authorities, questioning the effectiveness of security measures in place despite spending billions on security infrastructure. He remarked, “How can we claim to have good governance, democracy, and security when our children are not safe? Despite spending billions, installing thousands of cameras, setting up checkposts, and having security forces present, citizens, families, and even school-going children are not safe.”

During the meeting, both Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch and the family of Masoor Kakr shared their dissatisfaction with the authorities’ response to the case, expressing a lack of trust in the efforts made by the administration, security forces, and government. They reiterated their demand for the immediate recovery of Masoor Kakr.

Maulana Baloch assured the Kakr family that Jamaat-e-Islami would continue to support them in their pursuit of justice and the safe return of Masoor Kakr. Haji Malang Kakr and Rahmatullah Kakr, in turn, thanked Jamaat-e-Islami for their persistent efforts both inside and outside the parliament to raise the issue of Masoor Kakr’s abduction.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch also stressed that Jamaat-e-Islami would continue to raise its voice for the safety and security of citizens, the rule of law, and against the negligence of security agencies and the government. He called for a united effort to accelerate and organize the “Rights of Balochistan” campaign, emphasizing that only through sincere and collective action can the rights of the people of Balochistan be safeguarded, and the safety of citizens ensured.
