PTI Forms 5-Member Committee to Coordinate Meetings with Imran Khan

Islamabad: The Political Committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a detailed plan for meetings with the party’s founder and chairman, Imran Khan. A 5-member committee will be formed to oversee and organize the meetings, with strict guidelines to ensure adherence to party discipline.
According to the statement issued by PTI’s central information secretary, Sheikh Waqas Akram, the committee will compile a list of individuals authorized to meet Imran Khan every Tuesday and Thursday. The names for these meetings will be approved by Imran Khan in advance, ensuring that only those on the approved list are allowed to meet him.
The list of individuals permitted to meet will be sent to jail authorities through one of the three designated focal persons of PTI: Gohar Ali Khan, Salman Akram Raja, or Intizar Panhota. This process has been outlined in accordance with Imran Khan’s instructions and the directives of the Islamabad High Court.
The political committee further emphasized that no individual will be allowed to meet Imran Khan unless they are on the official list. Anyone violating this rule will be considered in breach of party discipline. In cases where any individual from the list is stopped by authorities, the remaining members can still meet Imran Khan in protest.
In such cases, PTI will file a contempt of court petition against the jail authorities. However, government officials from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be exempt from this rule and will be free to meet Imran Khan at any time, without needing to adhere to the list.
This structured approach comes as part of PTI’s ongoing efforts to maintain internal discipline and coordination amid challenging political circumstances.
