Protest Ends in Wandar, Gwadar: Roads Reopen After Blockade
Quetta:The protest organized by the Baloch Unity Committee in front of the Wandar Press Club has concluded in Wandar, Gwadar. Following a rally held in Wandar city yesterday, participants from various walks of life engaged in a march through the Wandar market, eventually converging in a large gathering.
Addressing the participants, including local leaders such as District General Secretary of the National Party, Comrade Muhammad Salim Wadela Baloch, Deputy General Secretary Muhammad Ameen Ronjha, and former President of the National Party Taluka Sonmiani Abu Bakar Baloch, committee members Mohammad Akhtar Khaskheli and Wajah Dad Muhammad Baloch highlighted ongoing injustices faced by the Baloch people. They emphasized the need to end oppression against Baloch people, asserting the right to peaceful assembly as guaranteed by the constitution.
The speakers expressed concern over the mistreatment of Baloch women and youth, condemning the use of force against peaceful protesters. They demanded the safe passage of convoys heading towards Baloch Raji Mache and immediate release of detained Baloch brothers and sisters, including Sabghatullah Shah Jee.
Meanwhile, in Gwadar, the protest against the crackdown continued as men and women took to the streets, erecting barricades near Shahra Road, causing significant traffic disruptions with long queues of vehicles.
The situation remains tense as local leaders vow to continue their struggle until justice is served and their demands are met by the authorities.
