Police and Security Forces Launch Crackdown on Gwadar Sit-in; Baloch Leaders Arrested

Gwadar:In Gwadar, police and security forces have taken aggressive action against a ongoing sit-in, attempting to arrest Dr. Manzoor Baloch and Sami Deen. A vehicle used as a stage was set on fire amid shelling and intense firing. Several central leaders of the Baloch Unity Committee, including Sami Deen, Dr. Sadiya, and Sabeqatullah Shah, were injured. The chaotic scene resulted in injuries to many, including women.

Furthermore, two armed individuals suspected of targeting Dr. Manzoor Baloch and Sami Deen at the Baloch Raji Marchi rally were apprehended by the crowd near the stage. It was reported that these armed individuals approached the vicinity of the stage under suspicious circumstances but were intercepted by the gathering. Upon their capture, a pistol and a satellite phone were recovered from them. The apprehended suspects confessed that they were sent from Turbat to Gwadar to target Dr. Manzoor Baloch and Sami Deen, and they had reached near the stage when they were apprehended by the people.

Gwadar police have subsequently arrested central leaders of the Baloch Unity Committee, including Sami Deen, Sabeqatullah Shah, and Dr. Sadiya. Three leaders sustained severe injuries from baton charges and shelling, following which they were taken into custody. Eyewitnesses confirmed that all three leaders were injured due to baton charges.
