Pakistani Actress Madiha Imam Reveals Parents Couldn’t Attend Her Wedding
Karachi: Renowned actress Madiha Imam, who has showcased her acting talents in both Pakistan and neighboring India, recently made an important revelation about her wedding. In a special interview with a Pakistani magazine two months ago, Imam discussed her career and her husband, Moji Basar.
The actress disclosed that although her husband is from Arunachal Pradesh, India, their wedding took place in Dubai, and her parents were unable to attend. Imam explained that her father was involved in a traffic accident around the time the wedding was scheduled, which also prevented her mother from attending. Consequently, the wedding was conducted in the presence of her sisters, with her parents participating via video call.
Regarding the reception, Imam mentioned that it was postponed until her father’s complete recovery, and they eventually held the reception in Dubai four months after the wedding.
Imam also addressed the age difference between her and her husband, revealing that Moji Basar is four and a half years younger than her. Despite the differences in their mental perspectives due to age, she believes these differences will diminish over time. She shared that when Moji proposed, she was 31, and they both took the idea of marriage seriously, leading her to promptly accept the proposal.
Notably, Imam’s wedding in Dubai in 2023 surprised many, as her husband is also part of the showbiz industry. Moji Basar, an Indian filmmaker and producer, worked as an assistant producer on popular Bollywood films such as ‘The Sky is Pink’ and ‘Luka Chuppi’ after graduating in 2017.
