Pakistan Actress Sabeena Farooq Defends Daughter Amid Social Media Trolling

Karachi: Actress Sabeena Farooq has come forward to defend her daughter, Hijab Khalil, against trolls on social media following the recent scandal involving drama director Khalilur Rehman Qamar.

Police have arrested Khalilur Rehman Qamar and his accomplices from a gang involved in honey trapping, who also allegedly circulated objectionable videos of him. Since the videos went viral, social media users have been targeting drama director’s daughter, TikToker Hijab Khalil, with negative comments on her Instagram videos.

In defense of her daughter, Sabeena Farooq took to Instagram with a story post, writing, “Almost every day we ask ourselves and others, ‘Have we lost humanity?’ What do Khalilur Rehman’s actions have to do with his daughter?”

“Why are users calling out Hijab? All of this can affect her life. Is there any joy in benefiting from others’ suffering?” she further questioned.

She urged, “Please do not disrespect children’s actions towards their parents, and parents’ actions towards their children.”
