New Zealand Captain Tom Latham Ruled Out of ODI Series Against Pakistan

Wellington:New Zealand’s captain, Tom Latham, has been ruled out of the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against Pakistan due to a hand injury. According to New Zealand Cricket, Latham suffered a fracture in his right hand during a net practice session, forcing him to miss the three-match ODI series.

In his place, Henry Nicholls has been added to the squad, while Michael Bracewell, who led the T20I series, will continue as captain for the ODI series. Latham’s wicketkeeping duties will be handled by Bracewell during the series.

Additionally, Will Young will be available for only the first ODI due to personal reasons, as he is expecting the birth of his child. Young will be replaced by Rachin Ravindra for the remaining matches.

The ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand will begin on March 29, with the second and third matches scheduled for April 2 and 5, respectively. The first ODI will be played in Napier.

Notably, New Zealand won the five-match T20I series against Pakistan 4-1.
