Met Department Forecasts Rainfall in Karachi Today

Islamabad:The Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall for Karachi this evening. Private weather agencies have cautioned that showers are expected in the city from this evening or tonight until Wednesday, with rainfall amounts ranging from 30 to 50 millimeters, and in some places up to 100 millimeters.

On the other hand, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz mentioned that Karachi may experience light to moderate rainfall today, with expected precipitation of 30 to 50 millimeters by tomorrow. This spell of rain is expected to continue until July 31st.

According to Sarfraz, another spell of rain is anticipated on August 4th, typical during the monsoon due to moisture. The first week of August may see rainfall in various cities across the country.

The Chief Meteorologist explained that due to a low-pressure system moving towards central India, areas like Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mithi, Hyderabad, and other parts of Sindh could also expect rainfall.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility of monsoon rains extending to southern regions of Punjab.

The Meteorological Department has advised that Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and some areas of Balochistan could experience thunderstorms and heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds today.
