Successful Negotiations Between Lawyers and DIG Resolve Protest in Hyderabad

Hyderabad:lawyers called off their protest after successful negotiations late at night between DIG Hyderabad Tariq Dharejo and the lawyers at the SSP office.

On the previous day, Bhitai Nagar Police had filed a case against Advocate Ali Raza under charges of forgery and fraud for allegedly using a fake number plate. The car was seized as part of the investigation.

Lawyers gathered outside the SSP office in Hyderabad at 2 PM on Tuesday, demanding the dismissal of Bhitai Nagar Police Station’s SHO and SSP Hyderabad Farukh Linjhar, along with the withdrawal of the case.

SSP Farukh Linjhar defended the police action, stating that the crackdown on vehicles with tinted windows or without number plates had been carried out under the direction of the IG Sindh. During this operation, cases were registered against 50 individuals, including three police officers. He emphasized that the law applied equally to everyone, and the car driven by the lawyer in question had no number plate.

After negotiations with the lawyers, DIG Tariq Dharejo assured that the concerns of the legal community would be addressed and promised to fulfill their demands. In a statement to the media, the lawyers confirmed that a resolution had been reached, which included the transfer of SSP Farukh Linjhar.
