Quetta:Member of Balochistan Assembly, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman, addressed a press conference at the Quetta Press Club, expressing concerns over the current situation across Balochistan, particularly in Gwadar. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman criticized the disruptions caused by the shutdown of networks, stating it creates difficulties due to the lack of internet and mobile services. He condemned efforts to deter peaceful and conscientious citizens, stressing that opposition cannot sit on government benches but will continue to strive while sitting on opposition benches.
Further emphasizing his point, he highlighted the adverse effects of power misuse on the state, fostering resentment among the people. Regarding the incident in Gwadar where a Baloch Raji meeting was scheduled, he expressed disappointment that the government had restricted it. He argued that hosting such political engagements was a democratic right and questioned the justification behind the government’s decision to block roads and communication channels across Balochistan.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman concluded by asking who was responsible for the decisions to shut down roads, mobile, and internet services in Balochistan amidst these ongoing developments.
