LPG Shortage in Balochistan Due to Closure of RCD Highway

Quetta:A severe shortage of LPG gas has been reported in Quetta and several other districts of Balochistan following the closure of the RCD National Highway connecting Quetta to Taftan. The road has been closed for several days due to protests at various locations, which has led to disruptions in the supply of LPG from Iran to Pakistan. As a result, LPG tankers are unable to reach Quetta, Balochistan, and other parts of the country, leading to a significant shortage of the fuel.
This shortage has caused major inconvenience to the residents of Quetta, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. Many LPG retailers have taken advantage of the situation by increasing the price of LPG per kilogram. Citizens have expressed their frustration over the scarcity of LPG, which is impacting daily life, particularly for cooking and other household needs.
Residents have urged the government to take immediate action to reopen the road and restore the supply of LPG to the region to alleviate the difficulties faced by the public.
