Lahore High Court Rejects Interim Bail Request for PTI Founder in All Cases

Lahore: The Lahore High Court has rejected the request for interim bail in all cases registered against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan. The hearing was held before Justice Farooq Haider, who was reviewing a petition filed by Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi. The petition sought details of the cases registered against Imran Khan and requested interim bail in all the cases.
During the hearing, reports from the Punjab Home Department and the federal government were presented to the court regarding the cases filed against Imran Khan. The Punjab government informed the court that no cases had been registered against him in the province, while the federal government’s lawyer revealed that 62 cases had been registered against Khan in Islamabad. The lawyer for the Punjab government stated that 54 cases were registered in the province.
Upon reviewing the details of the cases, the petitioner’s lawyer requested interim bail for Imran Khan in all the cases. However, Justice Farooq Haider dismissed the request, stating that in his view, it was essential for the accused to appear before the court to seek pre-arrest bail.
After considering the reports, the court disposed of the petition.
