Increase in Petroleum Product Prices Expected
Islamabad: There is a possibility of an increase in the prices of petroleum products by up to Rs 4 per liter. According to sources, the price of petrol is expected to rise by Rs 3.15 per liter, while diesel may see an increase of Rs 3.20 per liter. Similarly, kerosene oil prices could go up by Rs 4 per liter.
Fluctuations have been observed in the global oil market, which is influencing domestic prices. The final decision on the new prices of petroleum products will be made on November 30. The Ministry of Petroleum will send the working details to the Ministry of Finance, and after consultations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will announce the new prices.
It is important to note that the federal government had previously decided to keep the prices of petrol and diesel unchanged until December 1. Currently, the price of petrol is Rs 248.38 per liter, high-speed diesel is priced at Rs 255.14 per liter, light diesel oil costs Rs 147.51 per liter, and kerosene oil is available at Rs 161.54 per liter.
