Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has challenged the decision to grant physical remand in 12 cases related to anti-terrorism in Lahore High Court. PTI’s counsel, Barrister Salman Safdar, filed petitions on behalf of Imran Khan, contesting the remand orders issued by the Anti-Terrorism Courts in Lahore.
In the petitions, PTI asserted that the Anti-Terrorism Courts did not properly assess the record before granting physical remand, despite prior police investigations and without due regard to the law. PTI has urged the Lahore High Court to declare the physical remand granted by the ATCs as null and void.
The Lahore High Court will now consider PTI’s plea challenging the physical remand orders issued by the ATCs.
