Former Balochistan CM Aslam Raisani Accuses Government of Escalating Ethnic Tensions
Quetta:Former Chief Minister of Balochistan and Chief of Sarawan, Nawab Aslam Raisani, in a statement on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), condemned the ongoing abductions of innocent Baloch students from educational institutions in the federal capital and the ongoing arrests of innocent Pashtuns in Islamabad. He expressed concern that these actions were deliberately fueling hatred against the state.
Raisani suggested that it appeared the authorities were intentionally escalating tensions, further dividing the people. “It seems that the federal government is deliberately working to break apart the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, leading to dangerous levels of animosity against the state,” he said.
His statement highlights growing concerns over the treatment of ethnic communities in Pakistan’s federal capital and the perceived efforts to increase divisions within the country.
