Property Tycoon Malik Riaz Responds to NAB’s Warning on Dubai Project, Vows Not to Be Blackmailed

Islamabad:Renowned property tycoon Malik Riaz Hussain has responded to the warning issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) regarding his Dubai project. In a post on social media platform *X*, Riaz stated, “No matter how much injustice is done, Malik Riaz will not testify. This was my decision yesterday, and it remains the same today.”
Riaz, who has been residing in Dubai for some time, addressed the warning issued by NAB in relation to his Dubai-based BT Properties project. He expressed the challenges of doing business in Pakistan, stating that despite facing numerous obstacles, including government blackmail, he successfully established Bahria Town with the grace of Allah and introduced Pakistan’s first international standard housing project.
He mentioned that despite years of blackmail, fake cases, and officers’ greed, he was forced to move abroad due to his insistence on providing testimony. He praised the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, for the city’s development and noted that Dubai’s success did not include institutions like NAB.
Riaz criticized NAB’s recent press release, describing it as a new attempt at blackmail, and warned that all the secrets of the last 25-30 years were well-documented. He assured that Bahria Town Pakistan is a successful project, and with God’s blessings, BT Properties Dubai will also thrive.
He emphasized that investors from dozens of countries have shown exceptional interest in the BT Properties projects in Dubai, and he expressed pride that his company had been chosen to compete at a global level. Riaz reiterated that Pakistanis should be proud of the recognition his company had gained.
Malik Riaz also vowed that he would not be used against anyone nor would he succumb to blackmail. He expressed confidence that the Dubai project would succeed and become a global symbol of Pakistan’s identity.
It is noteworthy that NAB had issued a warning regarding the BT Properties Dubai project, cautioning the public against investing in it, as the property mogul is facing multiple fraud and deception cases in Pakistan. NAB claimed that Malik Riaz and his associates had illegally acquired land in various cities under the name of Bahria Town and were continuing to defraud the public.
The NAB spokesperson also revealed that Malik Riaz is a judicial fugitive wanted by both the court and NAB, with many of his assets already seized in Pakistan.
