Harnai: Torrential rains and flash floods have severely damaged railway tracks in Harnai, leading to a complete washout of the lines between Sibi and Speen Tangi. According to reports, heavy rainfall overnight caused flash floods, resulting in the tracks being completely submerged in water. Concerns had been raised in various local newspapers and on social media over the past year about the risk of the tracks being inundated with water due to the possibility of walls or stones falling along the track edges.
Unfortunately, railway authorities did not address these concerns, leading to today’s catastrophic flooding of the tracks.
