Faisal Vawda Blames Bushra Bibi for Imran Khan’s Downfall, Criticizes PTI Leadership
Islamabad :Former Federal Minister and Senator Faisal Vawda has blamed Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, for the downfall of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader. In a recent appearance on a private television channel, Vawda accused Bushra Bibi of influencing Khan’s actions, leading him to adopt destructive political tactics and turn against the state institutions.
Vawda stated, “The person responsible for the destruction of Imran Khan and the one guaranteeing it is the ‘Murshid’ (spiritual mentor) himself.” He went on to claim that ever since Bushra Bibi entered Imran Khan’s life, his attitude had shifted dramatically—he became involved in corruption, violence, and began questioning the legitimacy of state institutions.
Vawda also alleged that there is a “gang of seven women” around Imran Khan who are attempting to politicize his legacy for the next 50 years. He emphasized that they intend to remain in power by exploiting Khan’s political struggle.
In a sharp remark, Vawda suggested that if someone were to offer Khan “healing water” or yogurt, implying a mystical cure, the state would not be responsible for such actions. He implied that the only way to save Khan was to prevent any meetings with him, hinting that such engagements could further complicate his situation.
Vawda continued to criticize the leadership’s actions during PTI’s protest sit-ins, accusing Bushra Bibi and PTI leader Ghulam Sarwar Khan of being the first to flee the scene. He cited footage of Bushra Bibi walking casually and getting into a vehicle, despite claims that she was ready to sacrifice herself for the cause.
The controversial remarks from Vawda have added to the already tense political situation surrounding Imran Khan and his party, as well as the public’s growing speculation about the internal dynamics of PTI and its leadership.
