Dubai Government Announces Luxury Rewards for Newlywed Couples

Dubai: In a bid to encourage young people to marry, the rulers of Dubai have announced that newlywed couples will receive valuable prizes, including luxurious housing and financial benefits.
The Dubai government has approved a housing project comprising 3,004 new homes for newly married couples. The total cost of the project is estimated to be 5.4 billion dirhams. This initiative is part of the “Weddings Project,” which aims to make housing more accessible for young families.
In addition to the housing scheme, the government has introduced several benefits for couples, including a 10-day paid wedding leave for government employees and the option for mothers to work from home on Fridays during the first year after childbirth.
In a statement announcing the project, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai, said the initiative aims to encourage marriage among young people, provide suitable housing for families, and improve their quality of life.
As part of the program, couples who benefit from the Dubai Wedding Program will also see a reduction in their housing loan premiums, which will be lowered to a minimum of 3,333 dirhams per month, provided their monthly income does not exceed 30,000 dirhams.
