Saudi Arabia Unveils Historic Project to Recreate the Hijra Journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA)

Medina,Saudi Arabia:In a spectacular ceremony held in Medina, Saudi Arabia announced a groundbreaking project that will offer a physical experience of the historic journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) from Makkah to Medina during the Hijra.

The event was led by Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Governor of Medina, with the presence of key figures such as Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, other ministers, and prominent personalities.

This ambitious project aims to bring the story of the Prophet’s migration to life in a modern format, allowing participants to physically experience the 470-kilometer journey of Hijra. Along the way, they will visit 59 significant locations and 41 historical landmarks, including the Cave of Thawr, Wadi Qa’qa, the Tent of Umm Ma’bad, Wadi Sraf, and the Quba Mosque, among others.

The primary goal of the project is to highlight the spiritual and cultural significance of this momentous journey. Participants will walk in the footsteps of the Prophet (PBUH), engaging in activities such as camel riding, visiting historical sites, and witnessing the key events of the Hijra through a contemporary presentation.

This initiative serves as an outstanding example of blending Islamic history with the modern world. It not only preserves the spiritual and cultural heritage but also educates the new generation about the profound importance of this historic journey.

Under Saudi Vision 2030, this project marks another significant step in the kingdom’s efforts to protect and globally promote its Islamic heritage.
