Dubai Authorities Urge Public Transport Use Amid Traffic Concerns During ICC Champions Trophy Final

Dubai’s traffic authorities have urged the public to use public transportation due to concerns about traffic congestion during the ICC Champions Trophy final.
With the final match scheduled to take place between India and New Zealand on Sunday afternoon, Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has raised alarms about potential traffic disruptions, especially around Dubai Sports City. Key roads, including Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, are expected to experience slow traffic due to the influx of spectators.
RTA officials have advised cricket fans to use public transport, with traffic delays expected from 11 AM to 2 PM and again from 8 PM to 11 PM. Authorities have also recommended that fans plan their travel to the stadium in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
To ease the situation, Dubai Metro and free bus services will be available to transport fans to the stadium. Free buses will operate from the Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station to the Dubai Cricket Stadium.
In addition, special teams have been deployed around Dubai Sports City to guide the public and ensure smooth traffic flow. The authorities have urged people to avoid unnecessary travel in the area to help manage the congestion during the event.
