Coronavirus Vaccination Certificate Mandatory for Pakistani Pilgrims Aged 65 and Above for Hajj 2025

Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that a coronavirus vaccination certificate will be mandatory for Pakistani pilgrims aged 65 and above who wish to perform Hajj in 2025. Without this certificate, the pilgrims will not be allowed to travel.
According to a statement from the Ministry, applicants are required to submit proof of vaccination with an approved COVID-19 vaccine by Saudi Arabia to the relevant bank by February 10, 2025. Those who fail to do so will not be permitted to proceed with their Hajj applications.
As of now, the number of applications for Hajj 2025 has seen a significant increase, with nearly three times the number of applications received compared to the previous year. Within the first two days of the application process, a total of 4,774 applications have already been submitted. This is a sharp rise compared to 1,300 applications received in the same period last year.
Out of the total applications, 4,734 have been submitted under the regular government Hajj scheme, and 40 applications have been received under the sponsorship scheme through banks.
The Ministry has emphasized that only applicants who meet all health and vaccination requirements will be eligible for Hajj travel in 2025.
