Karam:In a series of intense clashes over land disputes in Karam Agency, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, tribal tensions have escalated, resulting in tragic casualties. According to official sources, the conflict between two tribes has led to 38 fatalities and left 242 injured. The clashes have been ongoing for five days, marked by the use of heavy weaponry including rockets, missiles, and automatic firearms.
The situation has severely disrupted normal life in various regions of Karam Agency, prompting authorities to deploy substantial police and security forces. Despite efforts to restore order, attempts to enforce ceasefire agreements have proven unsuccessful.
Local infrastructure has been significantly affected, with roads leading to and from Parachinar closed to all traffic. Educational institutions and internet services remain suspended, while markets are experiencing shortages of essential goods and medicines.
MNAs Hamid Hussain and Provincial Assembly member Ali Hadi Irfani have urgently appealed to the government for immediate intervention to enforce peace in Parachinar. They highlighted critical shortages in hospitals and marketplaces, emphasizing the need for swift action to alleviate the humanitarian crisis gripping the region.
