Brazilian Model Luciana Curtis Kidnapped at Gunpoint with Husband and 11-Year-Old Son in São Paulo

New York: Brazilian model Luciana Curtis, along with her husband and their 11-year-old son, were kidnapped at gunpoint in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 27. The family was held hostage for 12 hours before being released by the kidnappers.
According to foreign media reports, the incident occurred when the family was leaving a restaurant. Armed assailants forced them into a vehicle and took them to a shack, where they were held captive. During their captivity, the kidnappers compelled Luciana and her husband to transfer money from their bank accounts.
The situation took a turn when news of a police search operation reached the kidnappers, prompting them to release the hostages. After their release, Luciana, her husband, and son managed to reach a nearby police station with the help of a passing truck, where their statements were recorded, and an investigation was launched.
Luciana’s eldest daughter notified her uncle about her parents’ disappearance, which led to the police being informed and triggering a search operation that caused the kidnappers to flee.
Luciana’s spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that the model and her family are now safe. The 47-year-old model, originally from São Paulo, has worked internationally in cities such as New York and London.
