Balochistan Government Responds to BNP’s Protest Call, Emphasizes State’s Authority and Law Enforcement

Quetta:The spokesperson for the Balochistan government, Shahid Rand, responded to the Balochistan National Party (BNP) protest, stating that while every political party has the constitutional and legal right to protest, Section 144 is currently in effect on national highways, imposing a ban on public gatherings. He further emphasized that BNP Mengal should have sought permission from the relevant administration before calling for protests.
Shahid Rand added that the public response to BNP Mengal’s call for a strike is evident and has sent a clear message. He also took a firm stance on the issue of female suicide bombers, questioning why concerns of honor and dignity remain silent in such incidents. He remarked that when action is taken against anti-state elements, some people try to stir up agendas under the guise of honor and dignity.
The spokesperson made it clear that there will be no compromise on the state’s authority, and any form of extremism or violence will not be tolerated. He said that those using women as shields to challenge the state must be held accountable.
Shahid Rand concluded by stating that strict action will be taken against lawbreakers, without discrimination, as the state is committed to protecting the dignity and rights of every individual. These remarks came at a time when the Balochistan National Party’s protest and strike call have sparked mixed reactions from the public and government.
