Balochistan Government Launches Free Cancer Treatment Ward at Bolan Medical College
Quetta:The Balochistan government has opened a dedicated cancer ward at Bolan Medical College to provide free treatment to cancer patients. In an effort to support those struggling with the disease, the government is offering cancer medications, including injections worth up to 1.3 million rupees, free of charge.
Patients and their families have expressed their gratitude to Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and Provincial Minister for Health, Bakht Muhammad Kakr, for this initiative. They highlighted that Balochistan is the first province in Pakistan to offer free cancer medications under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson for the Balochistan government, Shahid Rand, he emphasized that the government is committed to improving the care and treatment of cancer patients in the province. He also mentioned that the construction of a separate cancer hospital is underway to provide better healthcare services.
Shahid Rand further stated that Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti is determined to implement reforms within the health department to ensure quality healthcare services are accessible to both the rich and the poor. “The benefits of these government reforms will reach the common people,” Rand added.
The establishment of the cancer treatment ward and ongoing healthcare reforms mark significant steps toward improving medical services for Balochistan’s residents, particularly those battling life-threatening diseases.
