Balochistan Government Invites Opposition Leader to Visit, Criticizes Political Blame Game

Quetta:Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind has stated that Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, had officially invited opposition leader Umar Ayub to visit the province to observe the ground realities and assess the situation firsthand. However, instead of accepting the invitation, Ayub chose to continue his narrative of political turmoil, displaying irresponsibility and ignorance of his constitutional duties, according to Rind.
In a press conference held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Rind emphasized that the Chief Minister had assured Ayub of all possible security and facilitation for his visit, offering him the opportunity to tour every district in the province to witness the situation directly. Yet, Ayub preferred to focus on political accusations rather than engaging with the reality on the ground.
Rind pointed out that by turning the non-issues into issues, Ayub had clearly shown his inability to fulfill his constitutional responsibilities as the opposition leader. He also criticized the opposition’s politics of accusations, stating that while the ruling party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has governed for the past 10 years, the security situation there remains widely known.
The spokesperson added that the Balochistan government had extended invitations multiple times for dialogue on the country’s real issues, including law and order, and remains open to finding practical solutions. If Umar Ayub is genuinely interested in resolving the problems, the invitation to visit Balochistan remains open, and full security would be provided.
Rind also addressed the issue of blocked national highways, stating that the Chief Minister had called for a high-level meeting to review progress on the implementation of a “three-tier formula” to resolve this issue. The government is committed to taking serious measures to address the public’s problems, he added.
Concluding his statement, Shahid Rind urged opposition parties to focus on resolving real issues rather than engaging in the politics of accusations. He reiterated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, the Balochistan government is determined to tackle all challenges and continue working for the welfare of the people.
