Balochistan Government condemns the violence by armed groups and calls for strict action against lawbreakers.
Quetta: The Balochistan government has expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Rangers personnel in an attack by miscreants in Islamabad. A statement issued by the government’s spokesperson, Shahid Rind, condemned the violence and expressed condolences to the families of the martyred Rangers.
Shahid Rind stated that the Rangers personnel were martyred while performing their duties. He strongly condemned the incidents of armed groups taking the law into their own hands and assaulting the Rangers personnel. The spokesperson also expressed concern over the repeated attacks by so-called militant groups in the name of a political party on Islamabad, calling it a serious matter.
He emphasized that the rule of law must prevail and that no action should undermine the authority of the state. “Those involved in such acts of violence must face strict legal action,” Rind added, stressing that the repeated harassment of Islamabad’s citizens under the guise of protest was unacceptable.
The spokesperson also called for the immediate registration of an FIR against those responsible for the killing of Rangers personnel deployed for peacekeeping duties and their supporters. He further stressed that both ordinary citizens and security forces should not be left at the mercy of armed groups and that the law must take its course.
The Balochistan government has expressed serious concern over the growing influence of armed factions and reiterated its support for maintaining peace and law and order in the country.
