Pishin:In a recent address at an Independence Day celebration in Pishin, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that new districts and divisions should be established on an administrative basis rather than linguistic grounds, asserting that our primary identity is as Pakistanis. He highlighted that Pishin has historically supported Quaid-e-Azam and has remained loyal to Pakistan.
Bugti underscored that education and health are top priorities for the provincial government. He issued a promise to ensure that teachers are present in schools, stating that all teachers receiving a government salary must be active and not absent from their duties. He committed to ensuring that during his next visit, every teacher will be present in their school.
In his speech, Chief Minister Bugti announced the formation of a committee to review the proposal of making Pishin a separate division and addressing all related matters. Additionally, he revealed plans to construct a 50-bed hospital in Pishin and establish a Rescue 1122 center on the Pishin Highway. The possibility of building a campus of Balochistan University in Pishin is also under consideration.
Furthermore, Bugti announced a decision to upgrade a middle school to a high school in the district. He highlighted efforts to strengthen the local government system and revealed that local councils’ grants have been doubled. A grant of 100 million rupees has been allocated for the Pishin Local Council.
