Apex Committee Meeting Focuses on Security, Counter-Terrorism Efforts, and Border Management in Balochistan

Quetta:The provincial apex committee meeting was held on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sardar Fazal Bakhsh Bizenjo. The meeting was attended by Commander Balochistan Corps Lieutenant General Raheel Naseem Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary Shakil Qadir Khan, IG Police, and other senior officials. The meeting reviewed the province’s security situation, counter-terrorism measures, and the performance of security forces.

The meeting also assessed the implementation of decisions made in previous apex committee meetings at both the national and provincial levels. Emphasis was placed on strengthening counter-terrorism measures and improving intelligence sharing to combat terrorism more effectively.

In his remarks, Chief Minister Mir Sardar Fazal Bakhsh Bizenjo assured that all institutions were working together to maintain peace in the province. He emphasized that every possible effort would be made to ensure the safety and protection of the public.

The meeting also discussed border management, efforts to prevent smuggling, and actions taken under the National Action Plan. Senior officials agreed that sustained peace in Balochistan would require close coordination between security forces and the civilian administration.

Mir Sardar Fazal Bakhsh Bizenjo directed immediate implementation of the decisions made during the meeting and vowed that the government would take all necessary steps to protect the lives and property of the public while ensuring the continuity of development projects in the province.
