Mumbai: Indian actress and reality show contestant Jasmine Bhasin, a hopeful for the 14th season of ‘Bigg Boss’, has suffered damage to both her eyes due to contact lenses.
Speaking to Indian media, Jasmine Bhasin revealed that she had worn contact lenses before attending an event in New Delhi, after which she began experiencing pain in her eyes shortly thereafter.
“I decided to attend the event despite the pain, but it worsened. The pain in my eyes became so intense that I couldn’t see anything from my eyes,” she said.
Jasmine Bhasin further explained that she visited an eye surgeon with severe pain in her eyes, who informed her that both her corneas had been severely damaged due to the contact lenses.
“The doctors have bandaged both my eyes, and it will take 4 to 5 days for my vision to recover,” she added. “However, until then, I need to take good care of my eyes.”
“It’s not easy because I can’t see and I’m facing difficulties sleeping due to the pain,” Jasmine Bhasin lamented.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety and use of contact lenses among entertainers and the general public alike.
