KP CM Sohail Afridi Launches Fresh Attack on Political Opponents

PESHAWAR:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has strongly criticized his political opponents, accusing them of reaching the “lowest level of moral and intellectual decline” and saying that anything could be expected from them.

In a statement, Afridi said his political opponents had failed to accept court decisions in the past and had no understanding of democratic values.

He alleged that the opponents were afraid that their political careers would come to an end if PTI founder Imran Khan were released from prison.

The KP chief minister also accused his opponents of previously stealing public money, claiming that an IMF report had now pointed to corruption involving Rs5.3 trillion.

Afridi alleged that his opponents were continuing to misuse the country’s resources and said Imran Khan would hold them accountable.

He added that the biggest fear among Khan’s political opponents was that the PTI founder might be released from prison.
