BNP Holds Rally in Quetta, Says Baloch and Pashtun Cannot Be Silenced Through Force
QUETTA (Qudrat Daily): The Balochistan National Party (BNP) held a protest rally in Quetta against what it described as the killing of innocent people, including women and children, in an airstrike in Surab, as well as the alleged disappearance of Haji Rajab, manager of BNP chief Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, and his guard Ahmed.
The rally was led by BNP Central Senior Vice President Advocate Sajid Tareen and attended by a large number of the party’s central and district leaders and workers.
Addressing the rally, Sajid Tareen Advocate alleged that the “puppet government” had crossed all limits of oppression and coercion. He said the Baloch and Pashtun communities could not be silenced through force or the use of state power.
“We will not remain silent over the killing of innocent children and women,” Tareen said.
He further called on other political parties to unite, saying that the BNP was sending a clear message that the time had come for political forces to stand together.
“If we do not unite now, everything will be lost,” he said.
The BNP leader reiterated the party’s opposition to what he described as acts of oppression and called for accountability over the deaths and alleged enforced disappearances raised during the protest.
