Operations Against Civilian Population in Sorab Are Extreme Injustice, Grave Human Rights Violation: National Party

QUETTA: The central spokesperson of the National Party has strongly condemned the reported bombing by fighter jets in Gadar, Sorab, and the deaths of dozens of people, describing operations and aerial bombardment in civilian areas as the height of oppression and a serious violation of human rights.
In a statement, the National Party spokesperson said that protecting the lives and property of civilians was the fundamental responsibility of the government. Punishing innocent citizens without any crime and subjecting them to fear and insecurity was unacceptable under any circumstances.
The spokesperson said that the use of force against one’s own citizens did not resolve problems but instead made them more complicated and serious. The National Party had made it clear from the very beginning that the use of force was not a solution to the issues facing Balochistan, but would only contribute to greater mistrust and violence.
The statement stressed that the problems of Balochistan could not be resolved through force. Instead, their solution lay in political dialogue, the supremacy of the Constitution and law, and respect for the fundamental rights of the people.
The National Party demanded that the government immediately halt the operation and aerial bombardment in Sorab and ensure the protection of the civilian population.
It also called for the provision of the best possible medical facilities to those injured in the reported incident and urged the authorities to take immediate steps to protect civilians and prevent further loss of life.
