May Makkah Agreement Serve as a Shield of Peace for Future Generations: PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has described the agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye as a landmark development that will promote peace, prosperity, and stability, expressing hope that it will serve as a shield of peace for future generations.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he had the honor of signing the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement alongside his “dear brothers,” Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
He said the three brotherly countries were bound by shared bonds of faith, friendship, and a common commitment to peace and security.
The prime minister prayed that the historic agreement concluded under the shadow of the Holy Mosques would become a shield of peace and stability for coming generations and a source of development, prosperity, and blessings for Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and the entire Muslim Ummah.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, praising his tireless efforts, exceptional dedication, and commitment, which he said played an important role in turning the shared objective into reality.
