PSX 100 Index Falls 638 Points as Pakistan Stock Market Ends Lower

Islamabad: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in negative territory, with the benchmark PSX 100 Index losing 638 points.

The index closed at 177,623 points, down from the previous session. During the trading day, the benchmark moved within a range of 1,688 points, reaching an intraday high of 179,123 points.

Trading activity remained strong, with approximately 950 million shares changing hands in deals worth Rs. 41.5 billion.

Meanwhile, the market capitalization of the Pakistan Stock Exchange declined by Rs. 77 billion, settling at Rs. 19,950 billion by the close of trading.
