‘People Will Hold Form 47 Representatives Accountable,’ Says PKMAP Leader Majid Khan Achakzai

Quetta: Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) Provincial Vice President Majid Khan Achakzai has said that the party’s foremost priority is serving the public, adding that people are facing mounting challenges, including inflation, unemployment, insecurity, and a lack of basic services.

Addressing a ceremony marking the induction of new party members, Achakzai welcomed the large number of people joining PKMAP, saying their participation would strengthen the party’s movement for national, political, and democratic rights.

He urged party workers to maintain close contact with the public and encourage more people to join the party in order to expand collective efforts aimed at resolving public issues.

Criticizing the government, Achakzai alleged that it had failed to provide relief to the people and ensure the protection of their lives and property. Referring to elected representatives associated with the “Form 47” controversy, he claimed that they had no concern for the welfare of the public and stated that “the people themselves will hold the representatives of Form 47 accountable.”

The ceremony was also addressed by District Assistant Secretary Naeem Achakzai, Regional Secretary Haji Qasim, and Master Shabbir. During the event, a new local party unit was established, and several office-bearers were elected. Dozens of individuals also announced their decision to join PKMAP.

The speakers welcomed the new members and said they would play an active role in the party’s ongoing political and democratic movement.

They also highlighted civic issues facing Quetta, including gas and electricity load-shedding, poor sanitation, damaged roads, shortages of clean drinking water, rising incidents of theft and robbery, and the spread of narcotics, alleging that the relevant authorities had failed to fulfill their responsibilities.

The leaders further expressed concern over recent incidents in Ziarat and Hanna Urak, condemning the violence and alleging that the government had failed to control the deteriorating law and order situation. They called on the authorities to take immediate and effective measures to restore peace, protect lives and property, uphold the rule of law, and conduct transparent investigations into the recent incidents to bring those responsible to justice.
